Introduction
Among a wide variety of messaging apps, WhatsApp has gained widespread popularity and stands out as one of the most popular, in 2019. The application has over 2 billion active users worldwide and is one of the most popular messaging applications.
Here, as we know WhatsApp has become a well-based communication system. In this case study, I will introduce a new feature to WhatsApp as my personal project. It is called “WhatsApp -Daily Deals” and it allows people to buy or sell anything without having payment or trust issues

My Role
Analyzing a problem and finding the best solution, based on user needs. Showing an appropriate solution by researching (including wireframing + visual interface).

Objective :
Analyze user behavior to improve the usability of features.
Defining issues or problems in the features to be solved before integrating with the app.
To improve the shopping experience by adding human interface communications.
Making sketches and wireframes of the interface.
Finalizing adding features in the Prototype.
Gather User persona and experience.
How I Get the Idea
As a frequent user of WhatsApp, I use it almost every day. But lately, there’s been one annoying thing about the app that’s it needs to be fixed.
It appears that the issue was not related to any technical problem, but rather a human error. It is worth noting that WhatsApp Messenger is the most widely used messaging application in India.
One day, I found myself added to a random WhatsApp group called Fashion Street, which was created by the owner of a clothing shop. Every day, the shop owner would send me pictures of new products such as T-shirts and shirts. Initially, I thought it was a good idea to download the pictures. However, weeks later, my phone's gallery was filled with clothing accessory photos from the group, along with numerous other products. At this point, I became frustrated and deleted all of the images.
Then I remembered that a few days earlier, someone had posted about a shirt in that group. So I went to check for the shirt again and realized it wasn’t there anymore. at the moment of realizing this fact — and it is here when my problem began!
Then, I had the idea 💡 of creating a shopping page on WhatsApp that could help people who want to shop from their phones but have many pictures of products stored there.
Process & Approach
The Problem:
. The big problem I see with WhatsApp is the lack of a browser, unlike Facebook or Instagram. and lack of integration of the payment system
The second problem was that if I were able to add an online payment feature, it would need many more functions — such as security and cloud storage — that would make using the app too complicated
I was unsure whether or not to add a product rating option
Where to add a shop button, which will expose more customers and allow those who want to sell products the opportunity
The User Analysis:-
In my research, I learned about the problems that affect both buyers and sellers — such as fraud or lack of trust.
As per the WhatsApp database, the users are around 1.9 Billion, So, I took a qualitative Approach in my user study and targeted 2 to 4 users who can represent their type of people in diversity. The point to be noted here is that the user here is a group of people, not a single person. So personas should be made for groups only, and the person selected should be well enough to represent a group.
Selecting people to represent the sections of the WhatsApp community so that we can start with the user research.

The Solution
The main problem was the payment option, so I decided the payment should be made directly to the seller and the buyer in chats, they directly decide how they are gonna pay cod or UPI or bank transfer anything they like as they do before. With this, WhatsApp does have to include any personal browser or any payment security system.
One other thing was I want to add a rating and review option because it will help to know about product quality and the seller's service. It will be the best way for Feedback but I decided not to add a feedback option because it has to be simple and effective because not everyone is pro at selling their items… According to researchers most of the users (sellers) are students who want to start a business.
Where to add a shopping button? It's a very confusing thing I faced in the design process. Actually, the button has to appear clearly, so I search the empty space on the chat screen and didn’t get a single window. But somehow I found a clip icon at the bottom which is a pop-up menu of additional sharing options including document, camera, gallery, audio, etc. And I see the camera button was given a second time on a single screen so I removed that button. And replaced it with the shopping button.
Summarizing
In the end, I had to add a floating button for separating seller and buyer

Summarizing
This WhatsApp feature is a very unique way to communicate with the seller, who can offer advice and guidance on products. And it also allows customers to ask questions about delivery times.
It is a great feeling, to work on this project. This gives me encouragement to further efforts in more projects like this. This project made me interested in exploring opportunities to design and solving more and more user-related problems
